We met in Luxor, Egypt in April 2006 while we were both on spring break.

| I came to Egypt the fall prior to study Egyptology for a year at the American University in Cairo. |
I arrived for the spring semester to study the same thing. |
We had many mutual friends.
|
| So, I kept hearing about this Bob person that all of my friends knew. |
|
It was through one of these friends that we finally met.
|
| I had been planning to travel out of the country for spring break but decided not to spend the money at the last minute, especially after hearing that my friend Tom had a free hotel room at the Luxor Hilton that several people were going to be staying in. |
I spent the first half of spring break visiting the Sinai with other friends before taking the night train to Luxor to meet up with Tom. |
So the first time we met, was in a hotel room.

Along with our friends, we spent the next few days exploring ancient temples and trying to decipher the writing on the walls. One evening Tom and us sat on a patio behind the hotel talking about life and love and anything that came to our minds. This night was the beginning of a great friendship that months later turned into love.

After returning to Cairo, I would come to movie parties at Laura’s flat… |
| While I would spend time in the dorm with my friend Aliza hoping to run into Bob. When I had a knee problem and couldn’t leave my flat Bob came over for dinner and cheered me up. Unfortunately my time in Egypt was coming to an end… |

In May 2006, we saw each other for what we thought would be the last time…

| In August I moved into campus housing and had access to internet again and after logging onto AIM Bob was one of the first people to contact me. |
|
We talked for a while, and in the following weeks and months we talked A LOT. At least one conversation lasted 12 hours, and we both couldn’t get enough of eachother.

| On November 2, 2006, during one of our long AIM conversations, I made hints that I had feelings for Bob… |

Eventually we both admitted we had strong feelings for eachother.

| I visited Bob in Cairo during my spring break the following March… |
I stopped in Indiana on my way back to California that June. |
| Lots of racked up airline miles later, I decided to take a much needed break from school and spend a semester back in Cairo living with Bob. |

On November 2, 2008 on our two year annaversary we went to La Bodega, a lovley restaurant in Zamalek.

After having trouble getting the ring out of my pocket, and an interuption from the waiter, I asked Laura if she would like to be my wife. |
| Being an inteligent woman very much in love, I said yes. |
|
That is of course why you are visiting this site! Because on Auguest 15, 2009, we are getting married!

Very sweet story, I like the format.
But you left out the fabulous summer and magical christmas in California hosted by the grooms beautiful mother.
I am thrilled for both of you! It is fun to remember how this relationship was developing. We will have a great wedding celebration in Brown County. I look forward to welcoming your family and friends.
